Studio Upgrades
Coming soon to 2CCR FM is a new production studio! This new studio replaces the old Studio 1, and will have all new equipment and furnishings. While we can't quite say that the equipment is state of the art, it is very modern, and will defiantly bring our production standards much higher.
The upgrade is to be completed in stages, the first one being the removal of the old equipment. The sound proofing will still stay, but all wiring and furnishings will be removed. A working bee will be busy this weekend working on this job. During the week, new carpet will be layed, and the furnishings installed. The technician will then be able to start work with our installation of new equipment.
We expect that it will be a few more weeks before the upgrades will be completed. We will keep you posted on the progress, with plenty of photos to come. To show you our old equipment, we have a photo attached to the bottom of this article. It shows the studios a few months ago. (Notice the cassette player and mini disc decks!. Also notice the unconventional use of big cart-cases for the speaker stands!)
Hopefully we will have a bit of a BBQ to celebrate the opening of the new studios.
